Youth Sports Virginia Training Center is a multi-sports complex located on Prince William Parkway in Woodbridge Virginia. We specialize in Boys & Girls Artistic Gymnastics, Jump Rope, and Tumbling recreational classes. Youth Sports Virginia Training Center is also the home of Youth Sports Competitive Gymnastics and our Jump Rope FX competitive Jump rope team www.jumpropefx.com. Our goal is to involve youth in long term sports programs in both the recreational and competitive levels. These programs develop children mentally (self discipline, confidence, focus perseverance, commitment, integrity) and physically (cardiovascular fitness, strength and flexibility). We believe sports programs create the winning difference and is a vital link to providing children with the skills and prerequisites necessary to be successful in all areas in life.

Featherstone Gymnastics, now incorporated with Youth Sports has been in operation for over 30 years. We cater to everyone of every age and ambition, from 18 months to young adults, and from recreational activities to National competitors. Jump Rope FX, now also incorporated with Youth Sports has been in operation for 26 years.
We are very proud of our diverse coaching staff and instructors, who are safety certified, first aid and CPR trained, and are professional members of the USAG (USA Gymnastics Association) and USAJR (USA Jump Rope ). They are qualified and dedicated to providing you and your children a quality learning experience in a personal and enjoyable way.

PARENT-TOT Class Schedule
This class is best described as “Quality family time”. This class is designed for walking tots through the age of 3. With the guidance of our qualified instructors, parents will assist their little ones on obstacle courses that include tumbling, climbing, movement, balancing, trampoline, bars and more. Other activities will include parachute play, hoola hoops, bean bags and more!
PRESCHOOL Class Schedule
Classes are designed for children between the ages of 3‐5. Our program focuses on gross motor skills and basic gymnastics concepts in a safe and fun atmosphere. Children will participate in obstacle courses that include tumbling, bars, beam, trampoline, climbing and more. Pre‐schoolers will build confidence and coordination while learning basic life skills such as waiting their turn, getting along with others and following instructions. Class is 1 hour long.
HOME SCHOOL Class Schedule
HOME SCHOOL GYMNASTICS is an introductory level class. Focus will be on physical activity and fun! Ages are for 5 and up. Please contact the gym for group rates and registration information.
BEGINNER GIRLS Class Schedule
BEGINNER GIRLS GYMNASTICS is an introduction to gymnastics for girls ages 5‐9. Girls will learn basic skills on floor exercise, bars, vault, beam and trampoline. All skills are taught by instructors using our safe, progressive program. Beginners meet once or twice a week for one hour. All participants will receive a skill progress evaluation form every 10 weeks. Class is 1 hour long.
BEGINNER GIRLS AGE 10 + Class Schedule
BEGINNER GIRLS GYMNASTICS Ages 10 & up. The class structure is the same as listed in the above beginner girl’s program.
INTERMEDIATE GIRLS Class Schedule
INTERMEDIATE GIRLS GYMNASTICS is designed for those children who have progressed past the introductory stage. Gymnasts will work on improving skills learned at the Beginner level while learning new, more challenging skills. Focus will be on strength, flexibility, floor exercise, bars, beam, vault and trampoline. All participants will receive a skill progress evaluation form every 10 weeks.
Class is 2 hours long.
ADVANCED GIRLS Class Schedule
ADVANCED GIRLS GYMNASTICS will perfect Intermediate skills while safely progressing on to a more difficult level of gymnastics. Workouts will focus on all women’s events while including flexibility and conditioning to strengthen the girls for more physically challenging skills. Advanced Girls meet 2 times per week for 1 ½ hours each class. All participants will receive a skill progress evaluation form every 10 weeks.
BEGINNER BOYS Class Schedule
BEGINNER BOYS GYMNASTICS is an introduction to gymnastics for boys. Boys will learn basic skills on high bar, rings, pommel horse, parallel bars, floor exercise, vault and trampoline. All skills are taught by instructors using our safe, progressive program. Beginners meet once or twice a week for one hour. All participants will receive a skill progress evaluation form every 10 weeks. Class is 1 hour long.
INTERMEDIATE BOYS Class Schedule
INTERMEDIATE BOYS GYMNASTICS for all ages will review and improve beginner level skills on all men’s apparatuses. Strength and flexibility are developed to safely prepare the boys for progressively harder skills. The boys meet twice a week for one hour. All participants will receive a skill progress evaluation form every 10 weeks. Class is 1 hour long 2 times per week.
ADVANCED BOYS Class Schedule
ADVANCED BOYS GYMNASTICS will perfect Intermediate skills while safely progressing on to a more difficult level of gymnastics. Workouts will focus on all men’s events while including flexibility and conditioning to strengthen the boys for more physically challenging skills. Advanced Boys meet 2 times per week for 1 ½ hours each class. All participants will receive a skill progress evaluation form every 10 weeks. Class is 1-1/2 hour long two times per week.
JUMP ROPE CLASSES Class Schedule
JUMP ROPE PROGRAM is an introduction to a highly advanced form of competitive jump rope. Students learn basic jump rope and double dutch skills, routines and trampoline safety while developing coordination, balance and timing. Intermediate level athletes will add a tumbling class to their curriculum. This program is excellent for building self‐confidence. Classes take place on the multi‐purpose floor, ACRO‐springboard and trampolines. A jump rope is furnished during class time. All participants will receive a skill progress evaluation form every 10 weeks. Class is 1 hour long.
BEGINNER TUMBLING Class Schedule
BEGINNER TUMBLING is designed for athletes who have little or no tumbling experience. Coaches will focus on basic tumbling, strength and conditioning. Skill focus will be on the rolls, handstands, cartwheels, round‐off and breakdown of the back handspring. All participants will receive a skill progress evaluation form every 10 weeks. Class is 1 hour long.
INTERMEDIATE TUMBLING Class Schedule
INTERMEDIATE TUMBLING class is for athletes who have progressed beyond the introductory stages. Students will work on improving skills learned at the beginner level and much focus will be placed on the proficiency of the back handspring. All participants will receive a skill progress evaluation form every 10 weeks. Class is 1-1/2 hour long.
ADVANCED TUMBLING Class Schedule
ADVANCED TUMBLING class is for athletes who have acquired a back handspring. Students will work on improving skills learned at the Intermediate level while learning new, more challenging skills. Skills focused on at this level are: Standing back handspring, standing back tuck, round‐off back tuck and layouts. All instructors are experienced with spotting techniques. Age is not a factor at this level. All participants will receive a skill progress evaluation form every 10 weeks. Class is 1-1/2 hour long.

Christmas Break, Spring and Summer Gymnastics Camps
Youth Sports Virginia Training Center’s Summer Camp Program gives kids of all gymnastics backgrounds and ages a chance to develop new skills, make new friends and above all have loads of fun! Gymnastics Camp is open to kids ages 5 -15. The kids will participate in gymnastics, jump rope, arts and crafts, swimming, movies and more. A weekly schedule will be handed out on the first day of each week of camp. We offer Christmas Break Camp, Spring Break Camp, and Summer Day Camps all summer.

- 1 HOUR OF AGE APPROPRIATE STRUCTURED GYMNASTICS, TRAMPOLINE AND OBSTACLE COURSES .
- ½ HOUR FOR CAKE & PRESENTS IN THE PARTY ROOM.
- YOU MAY RESERVE THE PARTY ROOM FOR LONGER, FOR AN ADDITIONAL FEE.

INCLEMENT WEATHER/CLOSING POLICY
With the unpredictable winter weather in Northern Virginia, we occasionally, for the safety of our students and staff, must close for business due to inclement weather. However we do not follow school closings. Schools may be closed and we may be open in most cases. Youth Sports does not offer refunds for missed classes. Please see our makeup policy below.
How to find out if we are closed
* It will be posted on top of our web site at www.youthsportsva.com
* Our answering machine will have a closing message by 3:00 pm
* It is not our usual policy to close for weather unless a state of emergency is declared by our Governor. * Classes may be combined in the case of reduced participation.
* We will be happy to schedule a make-up at your next scheduled class for any closings related to closing. Please do not call the day of for a makeup class
Please Note: While we may decide to remain open, you may decide that from where you live your drive is too hazardous. Please do not drive to the gym if you feel it is unsafe!
